Dolly Parton has expanded her portfolio with the introduction of Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort. Situated in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this 302-room haven recently celebrated its grand opening.
Serving as a sister property to the nearby DreamMore Resort & Spa, the lodge stands as a tribute to Dolly’s deep-rooted ties to the picturesque Great Smoky Mountains. Let’s take a closer look.
A Melody of Old and New Designs
The inspiration behind the HeartSong Lodge comes from Dolly Parton’s 1994 track Heartsong.
The lodge’s design embraces a modern interpretation of a rustic charm, adorned with butterfly buttresses along the wooden beams in the lobby and bathroom mirrors softly lit by the glow of fireflies. How quaint!
A Glimpse Into Dolly’s World
The future holds even more promise with the impending opening of the Dolly Parton Experience. Set to launch next year, this addition will provide guests with an interactive journey through Dolly’s life, featuring immersive experiences, exhibits, and displays.
The Enduring Legacy of Dollywood
For nearly forty years, Dollywood has extended its origins as a mere homage to Dolly Parton, transforming into a thriving family destination. Boasting two hotels, a water park, and ongoing expansions, the park welcomes over 2.5 million guests each year.
Dolly Parton’s aspirations for positive community impact, job creation, and a space for family memories have not only materialized but have become ingrained in the park’s DNA. And just to throw it out there, here’s your weekly reminder to listen to “Jolene”!
