It’s Official: The Night Train From Paris to Berlin Is Back!

As of December 11th, 2023, the night train from Paris to Berlin is finally back after a nine-year break! Yes, you can fall asleep looking at the Eiffel Tower and wake up just in time to grab some currywurst.

The Details

As of right now, the Nightjet service, operated by Austrian rail company ÖBB, runs three times a week, but it’s expected to up its service to once a day by summer. The entire ride takes 15 hours, so passengers can comfortably sleep through a good chunk of it.

What It’s Like on Board

The trains have solo and shared compartments, ranging from regular to deluxe, with the latter containing its own bathroom complete with shower. Passengers who book a sleeping car will be served breakfast, complete with coffee and tea, in the morning.
