Moraine Lake is just as impressive as Lake Louise but has far fewer people. This means there is even more room to take in the incredible sights and glistening blue water. A hike along the surrounding trails helps to give new views on the wonder of the area.
Sulphur Mountain
Thankfully, there is a gondola that takes you all the way to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Here, you can take in the breathtaking views of the town as well as the various lakes in the area. If you’re feeling active, there are also several hiking trails at the top that are all waiting to be explored.
Peyto Lake
Peyo Lake in Banff National Park is just one of the many lakes that’s fed from glaciers. However, this one is a little different as it’s a striking turquoise blue. The area comes to life in late summer thanks to the surrounding wildflowers.
Icefields Parkway
Taking a drive down Icefields Parkway will offer up some of the best views in Banff National Park. There are several places to park and take in the atmosphere – which you’ll probably want to take advantage of along the way.
Bow Lake
This lake is found at the bottom of the Crowfoot Glacier. It’s made up of clear waters that mirror the images of the mountains. It perfectly sums up the beauty that is found within Banff National Park.
