If you haven’t seen the Northern Lights yet, 2024 may just be your year! According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Northern Lights will be clearer this year than they’ve been in the past 20 years. Given that this beautiful sight isn’t always easy to catch, we suggest heading to Eleven Deplar Farm in Iceland for your best chances of seeing the Aurora Borealis.

Eleven Deplar Farm

This former sheep farm is located in Fljót Valley on the Troll Peninsula and is now the perfect place to stay to see the Northern Lights. The dwelling boasts 13 rooms, each with its own balcony, so you can step outside to watch the sky at all hours of the night. Each suite is equipped with a king or queen bed, fireplace, and steam shower.

Lots to Do

Even if you don’t manage to catch the Aurora Borealis, there are plenty of other ways to spend your time at Eleven Deplar Farm. There’s a game room, gym, sauna, spa, two flotation tanks, and outdoor pool. If you want to venture a bit further, the area has ice fishing, sledding, snowmobiling, and more. On top of all that, the staff at Eleven Deplar Farm will help you craft an itinerary for your stay.
