‘Giant Experience Tours’ was designed to help visitors connect to the many historic, natural, and mythological wonders of the Giant’s Causeway. Coming in early February 2021, there will be 5 new tours available for visitors of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
New Giant Experiences Tours
The 5 new tours that will be available will allow small groups of visitors to take part in a socially-distanced guided walk. The tour will focus on a specialist subject area that can range from oceanography, geology, flora and fauna, and conservation.
The experience and visitor programming manager for the Giant’s Causeway, Ciara McClements, mentioned that their team was delighted to offer this kind of section of tours that would be delivered by experienced tour guides. Each tour that is offered will allow the visitors to deeper understand the key elements of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ciara also mentions that no matter if you’re interested in marine life, history, or geology, you’ll be able to connect that interest to this special place in a new, different, and engaging way.
What to Expect from The Giant’s Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway is known for its scenic beauty and is located on the North Antrim coastline in Ireland. It’s also locally known as the 8th Wonder of the World. It consists of columns of hexagonal basalt rocks that were created about 6 million years ago due to the flow of basaltic lava.
Each tour at the Giant’s Causeway will explore a different area of the site. This includes the clifftop patch of rock pools which are along the side of Grand Causeway. Visitors will also have the unique heritage of the Giant’s Causeway brought to life.
The tours that will be available include Fables and Folklore; Nurturing Nature; Vikings and Voyagers; Secrets of Sea and Shore; and Fire, Ice, and Stone.
