Marriott International is now going to open a brand new all-inclusive resort in Cancun. The iconic group has partnered with Blue Diamond Resorts to launch the Royalton Splash Riviera in Cancun. The waterfront resort is located just 35 minutes away from the Cancun International Airport.
The New Resort
Set to open late this year, the property is just north of Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos in Cancun. This new resort is going to be part of the Autograph Collection Hotels of Marriott, adding to its expanding number of all-inclusive international hotels in the Latin America and the Caribbean regions. The staple facilities of the Royalton Luxury Resort of Cancun will have Wi-Fi throughout the property. The guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive access to the pool, beach, and dining amenities, by upgrading to its Diamond Club.
The Unique Features
Alongside offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, the 1049-room resort in Cancun will also feature a multipurpose theater, convention center, laser tag, bowling alley, supervised kids’ club, indoor trampoline park, and 12 in-house restaurants. There will also be two on-site specialized centers, named Royalton Fit and Royalton Spa. While the former is the wellness center of the hotel with fitness classes, the latter is a luxe facility offering hydrotherapy. But, above all, the biggest highlight of the property will be the unique on-site waterpark, which will feature splash pads, 2 lazy rivers, and 14 slides.
The Brand Legacy
In 2019, Marriott International first began to offer all-inclusive hospitality experiences. Their first project was in Barbados through a collaboration with a total of 7 properties in the Elegant Hotels portfolio. According to the official statement given by Laurent de Kousemaeker from Marriott International, this new Cancun resort is an exciting addition to their All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. According to him, the new venture will offer the guests encapsulating experiences with its distinct personality.
