The world’s first Jumanji-themed ride is all set to debut in Italy next month on April 2nd at Gardaland Resort near Verona. The $21 million attraction will be divided into 12 parts inspired by the film franchise. The visitors will travel on a special wagon through hazards and obstacles, on a journey to complete a mission.
The Ride
The movie-inspired ride is the first of its kind in the world. Each visitor on the ride will be given the same mission as the movies — to save Jumanji by returning the sacred and precious jewel back to the legendary temple. The ride will start with the visitors hopping onto one of the 12 wagons that will travel along a track around the jungle landscape. The wagons will encounter hazards, obstacles, and special effects like animatronics shaped like a giant hippo, spiders, etc. The wagons were reproduced down to the smallest detail to resemble the vehicle from the 2017 movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. They can also roll around, stimulating the movements of a real off-road vehicle.
Welcome to Jumanji

Aldo Maria Vigevani, CEO of Gardaland, has said that the new attraction is a key investment of over $21 million. He and the company also believe that the new dark ride will be welcomed with great enthusiasm by national and international visitors. Jumanji tells the tale of a magical game board, wherein players are given a mission to be completed amidst giant animals and stampedes. The first adaption, starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst was released in 1995 and was a huge success. 20 years later, the series was revived with two new movies and the board game turning into a video game. The new movies have Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan traveling into the game of Jumanji.
