Norway is a country in possession of incredible nature. Its fjords almost seem to defy what we think is possible, its coastal glaciers are a special kind of epic, and views of its green pastures are always stunning.
Just recently, one company announced a new accommodation option that will capitalize on the stunning views. Guests can now sleep in futuristic human bird boxes, featuring large windows that let you take in the beautiful views of the outdoors.

Look at a Fjord from a Human Birdbox
The “birdbox for humans” was created by Livit, and they incorporate a minimalist design that highlights the scenery that surrounds it. It has natural shapes and colors, which are inspired by the mountains of Norway. They were designed to blend in with nature.
These boxes will be located all across the country of Norway so travelers can stay close to the fjord of their choice and take in the rest of the natural beauty their eyes can see around them. There are two versions of the bird boxes, Mini and Medi. They are put in place with a helicopter, which means they can be installed in interesting, worthwhile, yet harder to reach locations.
A Unique Experience
The creators of the birdboxes wanted to create something that could enable a unique experience while creating a minimal environmental footprint. The goal was to make visitors feel one with nature, but still have the comfort of a hotel room. The area around the fjord can vary when it comes to weather, but these boxes can withstand any environment.

The boxes can showcase all aspects of nature – from sunsets to stormy seas and even relaxing mountain views. At the moment, two bird boxes are placed on Norway’s west coast region, and they can be booked through Airbnb or Levit’s website.
